The Violent Type
Sousuke and Chidori from Full Metal Panic!
These girls have no qualms about physically hurting other people. In most case scenarios the people they are beating up are the heroes of the story. This guy is either their love interest, or the love interest of their best friend. These girls will use any means necessary to punish these boys for their bad behavior. The most common bad behavior in need of correction is perversion. If they even look like they’re thinking something perverted they’ll get hit for it. If the boys say something mean, they look at the girls panties, or even if they catch the girls when they trip they can fall prey to a beating.
These girls will kick, hit, smack, throw things, body slam and even eye gouge to punish these boys. The girls may also turn their violent tendencies on their friends if the occasion warrants it, but usually to a lesser degree. These girls will get violent if they think the boy is hurting their friends too.
One of the more popular violent girls is Chidori from Full Metal Panic! Chidori is a no nonsense type of girl and strives to keep the boys of her school in line. When Sousuke transfers to her school and starts causing trouble she is the first to bring him into line. Sousuke is a solider and has been in the military his entire life. He sees danger around every corner and usually blows up the school trying to protect Chidori from perceived threats. Instead of thanking him, Chidori will smack him with her fan and cause him to go flying across the room. When he lands, he breaks something else, desks, walls or even the chalk board.
These violent girls are used as comic relief and usually break the tension of a moment or add unnecessary force to punish the boy for a slight. The violence gives girls the power to control the situations that they feel they would usually be helpless in. If boys look up their skirts, they can hit them for it. The tragedy, or perhaps the humor in this, is that the heroes are usually trying to help the girl before they get beaten. They grab the girls to protect them and unintentionally grab their chest or leg and get hit. Violent girls also hurt the boys when they are embarrassed. Many times when a guy confesses his love to the heroine she doesn’t believe he is being sincere and punishes him for toing with girl’s feelings.
